Medieval Princess Dress
Responsible for all fabrication.
The costume and henin are heavily inspired by the mid 15th century princess dress. Inspirations are pulled from 15th century portrait drawings.
Costume Fabrication Process
Patterning
I started off with top part of the dress. Using muslin fabric, to estimate the size before cutting the final fabric.
Final Costume
Using chiffon fabric as base to cover visible part of body
Top half of costume
Sewing top half on the body to determine the length of skirt
Rigging
Fabric was cut and hem for wire.
Beading
Henin Fabricating Process
Cardboard cutout of cone shape to measure the size and later wrapped with fabric
Hair Fabrication Process
Fabric wrapped around aluminum foil for thickness and animatability.
